Ash Brown (she/her) is a clinical herbalist, medicine maker, and creative who was drawn to herbalism because of her own lifelong health issues. After years of exhausting all that mainstream medicine had to offer, Ash began experimenting with herbs. The resulting positive shift in her health was so significant, it inspired her to formally study plant medicine in order to help others who are seeking a deeper level of healing. Ash is passionate about supporting clients to regain agency over their own health, and she considers it an act of gratitude to be of service to the plants that so generously offer us such a dynamic path towards true wellness.
Ash’s practice and clinical focus
Ash’s approach to herbalism combines traditional wisdom about plant medicine with modern evidence-based science. Her primary focus is on neurological conditions with their often multi-system involvement, although she embraces the opportunity to work with anyone who feels called to work with her. Other health issues Ash has experience supporting include:
• autoimmune diseases
• insomnia and sleep disorders
• anxiety and depression
• migraines and headaches
• digestive issues
• and many more conditions
As a medicine maker, she appreciates being able to fuse her background as an artist with her interest in natural medicines. It is her belief that being in regular connection with the plants and the process of medicine making strengthens her clinical practice.
Ash’s education and background
Ash studied at the Florida School of Holistic Living in Orlando, Fl, and later completed her clinical herbalism training here at the Eclectic School. She’s currently studying functional neurology in order to integrate her knowledge of clinical herbalism, neurological physiology, and neuroplasticity techniques to create a more precise approach for her clients with neurological conditions.
When not making medicine and working with clients, Ash enjoys sharing good food, conversation, and joy with friends, befriending animals, camping, going on river adventures and making functional objects.
